I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. I graduated from Georgia Tech in 2021, where I received a BS in biomedical engineering with a minor in Spanish. During undergrad, I worked in the lab of Dr. Hee Cheol Cho at Emory University studying cellular reprogramming of cardiomyocytes to pacemaker cells.
In the Kwon lab, I am currently studying the role of microRNAs in cardiomyocyte maturation.
