I was born and raised in Shanghai, China. After high school, I went to the states and earned my BS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Southern California. I worked in the lab of Dr. Megan McCain and discovered my interest in tissue engineering. Specifically, I worked with Dr. Andrew Petersen on developing kidney-proximal-tubule-on-a-chip for modeling disease and repair.
My current project focuses on investigating human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes maturation using both tissue engineering and single-cell RNA-sequencing methods.
